My Tattoo Journey
I never thought I would get a tattoo. I was always the good girl, the one who followed the rules and didn’t take risks. But then I turned 18 and everything changed. I started to feel like I needed to do something to express myself, something that would make me feel more like my own person. And so I decided to get a tattoo.
It wasn’t an easy decision, and it took me months to finally work up the nerve to go through with it. But I’m glad I did. Getting that first tattoo was one of the most liberating experiences of my life. It made me feel more confident and empowered, like I could take on the world.

What does pura vida mean to you
Pura vida is a Costa Rican saying that can be translated to “pure life” or “simple life”. For me, it means living in the present moment and enjoying the simple things in life. It is about being grateful for what you have and not taking anything for granted. When I am having a bad day, I try to remember the pura vida mindset and it helps me to appreciate the good things in my life.
Why did you choose to get a tattoo
I’ve always been interested in tattoos and body art. To me, they’re a way to express myself and my personality. I like that they’re permanent and that they can be seen by everyone. I chose to get a tattoo because I wanted to express my individuality.
How long did it take to get the tattoo
It took me about an hour to get my tattoo. The artist was very precise and made sure that the lines were clean and sharp. I’m really happy with the result!
What was the experience like getting the tattoo
I was extremely nervous to get my first tattoo. I had been thinking about it for months, but the thought of actually going through with it made me incredibly anxious. I did a lot of research on different artists and shops in my area, and finally decided on a place that I felt comfortable with.

Do you have any other tattoos
I do have other tattoos! I have a small rose on my right ankle and a barbed wire wrapped around my left bicep. I also have a tattoo of a heart with an arrow through it on my right hip. I love all of my tattoos and they each hold a special meaning to me.
What do people think about your tattoo
People usually think that my tattoo is pretty cool. I got it when I was eighteen and it’s a small rose on my shoulder. I remember my mom wasn’t too thrilled about it at first, but she’s come to accept it. I think it’s a beautiful work of art and it makes me feel unique.
